WHY DID EBAY BAN DIGITAL PRODUCTS WITH ONLY 7-DAY NOTICE?
It is so very difficult to understand why eBay would abruptly advise sellers that their business sales will end with only a notice from March 25, 2008 to March 31, 2008.
Being in disagreement with policy changes are not the issue as much as the time allowed to switch from listing 100's if not 1000's of digital items.
I am in disbelief that eBay would implement a policy change and enforce it by ending sellers listing with so little, almost no lead-time.
This astounds me.. It is hurtful that eBay would knowingly put so many sellers out of business at the drop of a hat.
There is something so evil about what they have done with, frankly, no notice at all (what is 7 days?), that I am expecting some retaliation.
The bomb they dropped will not go without firing back.
Making policy changes is one matter; however, making those changes knowing they were putting 100’s of people out of business is devastating.
In all my understanding of decency and the consideration to livelihoods, I am in awe over eBay’s immediate implementation to devastate so many people without allowing them to find safety from the bomb dropped. In other words, a minimum of 25-day notice would have been destruction enough!
I am so very saddened by this display of selfish, callous, indifferent, insensible, heartless, unfeeling, and hardhearted corporate action from a Public Company that is based in the United States of America.
My God, what has corporate America really become?
Evil begets evil….

eBay’s change in their policy of digital delivery products
eBay’s almost instant change in digital delivery of products policy is sad for those that depend upon the income. Posted announcement March 25, 2008, effective March 31, 2008.
Now, in all reality, please recognize that any single source approach to earning income is never a good idea.
Nevertheless, eBay, obviously does not want to continue listings in their marketplace of products for the digital delivery setting.
Currently, they may be advising the public and their members that it is due to 'Feedback Manipulation'; however, there would be other alternatives to such difficulties rather than to eliminate (ban) downloadable digital delivery products such as ebooks, templates, some types of software and many other digital media items.
After all, if you technically approach the arena of digital media, it is just about any type of informational, musical, educational, tutorial, movie, video and other type product. For that matter websites, blogs and more of this type item fall directly into digital media.
I have been reading a great deal about this policy change by eBay in many different venues. Some of which, I am frustrated to see those that are taking advantage in adverts to sell their products.
Compare this to offering a lifeboat for a cost. Now is not the time to sell wares when those who need to be saved from drowning require the resolution.
In other words, if you have a solution, provide it or guide them as best as possible without cost.
If you have answers, give them the directions. If you have knowledge, give them the instructions. If you have products, provide them at no cost or almost for free, if possible, of course.
However, please do not swing by in the vehicle that can lead them away from disaster, but only at a cost to them.
